This tile tableau is a reproduction of an 18th century Delft blue tableau and consists of 96 ceramic tiles.
The original tile tableau was made in 1725 and hung in an orphanage in Sommelsdijk. The maker of this beautiful Delft Blue tableau is unknown. This tile tableau has been part of the ceramics collection in the Rijksmuseum since 1897.
This original tableau has been reproduced on decorative tiles. The tiles are mounted on a Dutch White painted MDF board with a "hook lath" suspension system at the back. With this you can easily hang the tableau on the wall at your home or office. The result is spectacular.
