Bosglas (Waldglas) came from the forest area of Central Europe where the necessary raw materials were within reach.
Potash from beech ash residues, eagle ferns and some iron oxide gave the forest glass the characteristic green or brown color.
The studs and burrs on the outside of the glass provided a good grip.
The mouth-blown glasses can differ in shape and color and sometimes have air bubbles.
Our 17th century glass replicas come from the Czech Republic.
The glasses are made by hand and can show small color and shape nuances.
