Roemers with thorn studs are the most used wine glass of the 17th century. The hand-blown glass was carefully crafted, resulting in great beauty. It is not for nothing that these glasses were depicted on still lifes. This glass has an ovoid chalice and the original dates from 1650-1700.

Bosglas (Waldglas) came from the forest area of Central Europe where the necessary raw materials were within reach.
Potash from beech ash residues, eagle ferns and some iron oxide gave the forest glass the characteristic green or brown color.
The studs and burrs on the outside of the glass provided a good grip.
The mouth-blown glasses can differ in shape and color and sometimes have air bubbles.
