Bosglas (Waldglas) came from the forest area of Central Europe where the necessary raw materials were within reach.
Potash from ashes of beech wood, bracken ferns and some iron oxide gave the forest glass its characteristic green or brown color.
The studs and burrs on the outside of the glass ensured a good grip.
The mouth-blown glasses can differ in shape and color and sometimes have air bubbles.
Our glass replicas from the 17th century come from the Czech Republic.
The glasses are handcrafted and may show small color and shape nuances.
