John Henry Dearle (1859-1932) was a British textile and stained-glass designer who studied under William Morris. Dearle designed many of the later wallpapers and textiles released by William Morris's company. ‘Bourne’ is one of the designs created by Dearle in 1905. The cream-colored background features a symmetrical pattern of curling green leaves interspersed with wild and vibrant vermilion flowers and delicate blue blossoms.
Beautiful cushion cover in finely woven fabric. Very durable and finished to a high standard.
